    • Sofa Buying Tips August 5, 2010
Once upon a time, my wife and I would shop for a sofa by searching furniture ads in the paper for a great looking couch at an attractive price.  Six months after the purchase we’d be complaining about how badly it had worn and why they don’t make good @$#%$ furniture anymore.  Six months after [...]

Who can you trust with auto repairs?

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2009

When you need a good mechanic, how do you know where to go and who to trust?  It’s not as simple as your local phone book listings anymore.  The sophisticated cars of today require keen diagnostic skills, and other than a computer scanner, a lot of the facilities you would go to do not have qualified technicians.  Most of the time, they just start throwing parts at a problem until they luck up on an answer.  This is one of the reasons your bill can run up so high.  The truly honest shop will get to the root of the problem before they begin that process

With all of the horror stories out there, how do you go about finding a good shop?  The Women’s Automotive Connection is a proven tool for you.  They have the connections and have vetted shops to insure you get to the right place, with the right price and right attitude to fulfill your needs.

The steps your should take are obvious, but not so clear cut.  Getting referrals, asking for references, and using only certified technicians are at the top of the list.  The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is agency certifying these guys and without that logo, it is a hard sell for me.

All of the shops in our alliance are certified, but more to the point, they are independent facilities that value their customers above all.

So, to wrap it up, get referrals, references, certified technicians, ask for you your old parts, and get a detailed explanation of all charges proposed to you before you begin.  As in any business transaction, it pays to be informed and aware of the process.  The old adage “forewarned is forearmed” is your best weapons against getting bad service or another rip off.

Call the Women’s Automotive Connection at 770-722-5211 today to get started on the right track of finding a good repair shop you can deal with for the life of your vehicle.  It will save you money, and most of all, it will save you the frustration of working with providers who do not always have your best interest at heart.
